The OTO ID is a unique identification code on the OTO socket beginning with A or B:
B.777.777.777.X
If the customer does not have an OTO socket yet, a third-party company is automatically called when ordering Fiber7 to have the in-house cabling done. The third-party company will contact the customer in order to arrange an appointment for the installation of the OTO socket. This is generally at no extra charge for the customer.
Plug 1 to 4 are marked. In most cases, however, only Plug 1 and 2 are spliced (exception St. Gallen: Plug 4). The plugs are protected by a plastic part, which must be removed before a patch cable can be plugged in.
